How to shape your data with Transform

Clean and reshape data before you chart it: filter rows, remove duplicates, choose columns, and keep every change as a step you can undo. Narrated.

The steps

  1. 1Transform is where you fix the shape of your data before you chart it, without formulas or code.
  2. 2Start from a live preview, with each column's type detected and the row count shown.
  3. 3Pick an operation from the ribbon: filter rows, remove duplicates, choose columns or sort.
  4. 4Every change is added as a numbered step you can reorder or undo, so anyone can see what was done.
  5. 5Or describe it to the AI Assistant, such as "add a column for margin".
  6. 6Prefer typing? The script tab shows the same steps, ready to edit.
  7. 7Validate, then publish the result for your reports. The whole step is optional.
