How to define business terms for the AI

Business definitions give every question one approved formula: let AI Suggest draft them from your columns, review, and add. Narrated.

The steps

  1. 1Ask two people for revenue, and you can get two different numbers. Business definitions fix that. You define a term once per workspace, and the AI uses your formula every time.
  2. 2Open the workspace settings, then Definitions. Pick a datasource, and a table if you'd like to go one at a time.
  3. 3Choose AI Suggest. The AI reads your real columns and drafts definitions, each with a plain-English meaning, a formula, and the words people actually use for it.
  4. 4Review each one, and add the ones that are right, or add them all at once. You can also add a term by hand, and describe it in your own words.
  5. 5From then on, a question about gross margin uses your formula, in every report and every chart. Only workspace admins can change definitions; everyone else sees them read-only.
