How to filter a report
Add report filters with a field, one of 13 operators and a value, apply them to every block at once, and clear them again. Narrated.
The steps
- 1Filters decide which rows a report shows. Open Filters in the report toolbar.
- 2Add a filter, then choose a field, an operator and a value. There are thirteen operators, from equals and contains, to between and is empty.
- 3Here, country equals Canada. Then choose Apply.
- 4Every block on the page narrows to match. Total sales drop to Canada's twenty-four point nine million, and the bar chart shows Canada alone.
- 5Filters apply when you commit them, not while you type, and readers can use them in View mode without editing anything. Clear all resets the page.
