How to style a report: themes and layout

Apply a theme, add a letterhead and executive summary, set the density and target screen, and line blocks up with layouts. Narrated.

The steps

  1. 1Themes change the whole report at once. Choose Studio, Slate, Warm or Mono, or build a custom palette from a single accent colour.
  2. 2Switch, and the charts, headers and buttons all follow.
  3. 3Here's Warm. Pick the one that matches your brand, and every report in the style looks consistent.
  4. 4Presentation options add a letterhead and an executive summary, and density sets how tight the layout feels. Design for caps the canvas to the screen it'll be read on: print, laptop, HD or 4K.
  5. 5Layouts line blocks up for you, one per row, two up or three up, and a grid keeps everything aligned. There's nothing to straighten by hand.
