Changelog
What has shipped in AI Insights 365, newest first. For how to use each feature, follow the links into the documentation.
September 2026
One report screen, rebuilt. The separate designer and viewer are replaced by a single report screen with a View mode and an Edit mode. Blocks line up on a grid by themselves, with one-click layouts, undo and redo, autosave, and a separate Publish step. Old report links, emailed links and embeds all still work. See the report screen, panel by panel.
Filters. Report filters apply to every block on a page; block filters apply to one chart. Readers can use report filters in View mode without editing anything. See filtering reports.
The AI builds the chart. Charts are suggested from the columns in your data, the assistant adds a chart from a sentence, and Auto Report drafts a whole report in one step. When you switch a chart's type, every visual is offered, and you choose the fields when you add one. See let the AI build the chart.
Pages and names that stick. Renaming a report now saves reliably, and you can choose which page readers open on.
Account closure. You can close your own account from your settings.
August 2026
Share, embed, snapshots, subscriptions and export all work from the new report screen. A report can also be exported as a Power BI project. See embedding reports and report subscriptions.
July 2026
Business definitions. Define your terms once, such as what counts as an "active customer" or "net revenue", and the AI uses them in every answer. See business definitions.
File upload. Upload an Excel or CSV file directly as a datasource. See Excel and CSV analysis.
June 2026
On-premises edition. Run AI Insights 365 entirely inside your own network, with Active Directory or Entra ID sign-in and an option for a fully offline AI model. See AI Insights 365 On-Prem.
Google Sheets. Connect a Google Sheet and charts read the latest version of the sheet. See connect a Google Sheet.
Python analysis. Run Python analysis on a chart's data and show the result as a chart. See Python analysis cells.
May 2026
Report subscriptions. Email a report on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule to any list of recipients.
Embedding. Put a live report in your own site or portal with a signed link.
Gateway. Query a SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL database inside your network from the cloud, with no inbound firewall ports. See gateway setup.
Organization backup. Back up and restore your organization's settings in one step.
April 2026
Launch. Ask questions about your data in plain English and get answers as charts. Launch included SQL and file datasources, 72+ chart types, workspaces, dashboards, Auto Report and the Q&A panel on every report. The datasource library has since grown to 24 types.
